Technology

Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) have the largest surface area of any known substance. They act as molecular sponges that can store, separate and sense small molecules.

Their internal pore size and chemical functionality are tailorable and predictable through computational modelling.

Over 50,000 MOFs exist but only 6 are commercially available.

CSIRO’s technology spans MOF formulations, applications and manufacture.
